08 Sep Start@ETS 2017 Pilot Pitch Is Now Accepting Proposals
In partnership with Austin Energy and Austin Technology Incubator (ATI), Zpryme is hosting a Pilot Pitch Competition that will result in innovative pilots being proposed to key decision makers and experts in the fields of energy, smart cities, transportation, mobility, EVs, and energy storage. The winning pitch will be awarded with a memorandum of understanding to enter further discussions with the appropriate party (e.g., city, utility). A cash prize of $5,000 will also be awarded to the winner.
The goal of the competition is to demonstrate new solutions that can solve real problems within the areas of smart cities and smart utilities. Ideas, proposals, and solutions that have been tested in the field are strongly encouraged.
Emerging startups, academic groups, R&D labs, small groups and teams are welcome to submit proposals. Established companies may be considered if the proposal demonstrates or pilots a new solution that is not currently available on the market.
Topics within smart cities and utilities include, but are not limited to:
- Data Analytics & Machine Learning
- Augmented & Virtual Reality
- Distributed Energy Resources
- Electric and Autonomous Vehicles
- Smart City Enablement
- Internet of Things
- Grid Modernization
- Artificial Intelligence & Predictive Analytics
- Energy Storage
- Blockchain Technology
- Connected Customer Devices
Five finalists will be selected and notified by Friday, October 6, 2017. Proposals will be reviewed by the Start@ETS partners: Zpryme, Austin Energy and Austin Technology Incubator.
Finalists must attend and pitch their proposal at the Start@ETS event on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at the Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar in Austin, TX. The winning team will be announced at the event.
