Bill Hetherington has over 35 years of experience in the electric utility and renewable energy technology industries, including 6 years working internationally for SGC Energia, based in Lisbon, Portugal on renewable energy projects. He joined Bandera Electric Cooperative in Bandera Texas in 2013 and has since launched BEC Solar, LLC, a subsidiary that provides solar/energy storage/microgrid solutions, BEC Fiber, which supports BEC intelligent grid initiatives and provides high speed Internet access to their members, and Apolloware©, a cloud based software platform that enables utilities to monitor and control Distributed Energy Resources. He has a degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and a Master degree in Business Administration from Central Michigan University and completed postgraduate studies at the Wharton Business School on executive leadership.
