Gerardo Delgado serves as a Legal & Policy Advisor to Commissioner Sadzi Oliva at the Illinois Commerce Commission. Mr. Delgado provides counsel on various regulatory matters related to energy, water and natural gas utilities and telecommunication and transportation industries. Additionally, he spearheads and collaborates on initiatives and stakeholder forums addressing complex and innovative factors transforming the industry. Mr. Delgado has developed and participated on panels regarding clean energy legislation and policy, grid modernization, smart cities, and NextGrid, Illinois’ Utility of the Future Study.
Mr. Delgado is also an attorney admitted to the Illinois and Massachusetts Bars. He earned his Juris Doctorate from Suffolk University Law School and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics from the University of Illinois. Mr. Delgado is a member of Hispanics In Energy and has been recognized for his leadership in the energy industry, including a distinction by NegociosNow’s 40 Under 40.
