Margaret (Peggy) M. Smyth is the U.S. Chief Financial Officer at National Grid, one of the world’s largest publicly owned utilities focused on electric and gas transmission and distribution activities in the Northeast U.S. The company delivers approximately $14 billion in U.S. revenues and manages $20 billion in U.S. assets. Peggy’s responsibilities include oversight of all finance, accounting, and shared services activities for National Grid U.S., including financial reporting, budgeting, controllership, compliance, transaction processing, and oversight of financial management. She also serves as a director on the board of National Grid USA.
